Help Us Welcome Our York County 4-H Summer Intern!

We are incredibly excited to welcome Bailey Hall as our summer intern! A life long 4-H youth member, now giving back to the program that helped shape her leadership, confidence, and passion for helping others. Throughout the summer, she will help mentor, teach, and inspire the next generation of 4-H youth across our community.

Opportunities like this are possible because of the incredible support of our local 4-H program through annual donations and the support shown at the 4-H Food Stand during the fair. Your generosity allows us to provide meaningful opportunities for youth to learn, lead, and grow in a safe and supportive environment.

Your support helps create hands-on learning experiences that build confidence, leadership, life skills, and a sense of belonging for youth throughout York County.

Thank you for investing in young people and helping us continue to grow future leaders right here at home. The impact of your support reaches far beyond the fairgrounds.

Hi! Sharing this week parts of an article colleagues wrote about sprinkler packages in windy conditions. Grateful for the rain many received and will keep praying for rain! Also grateful for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and for the families left behind. May we never forget!-Jenny

Rates of foodborne illness tend to increase during the summer months because germs grow faster in warmer, more humid weather. People also cook and eat outside, making shortcuts to food safety tempting because they are away from the convenience of soap and running water at the kitchen sink. Follow these easy tips to make your summer meals safe: https://go.unl.edu/barbecue

Dandelion print! This fun activity lets children experience the magic of blowing on a dandelion puffball and watching the seeds float away. It’s a great way to develop oral motor skills, which are important for speech development. Plus, it introduces children to the concept of cause and effect, and the idea of making wishes—perfect for a magical springtime moment!

Book recommendation: Dandelion By Don Freeman - This heartwarming story about a dandelion who wants to fit in but learns to embrace its uniqueness.
