UPDATE: you must live in BVCA's service area in order to participate in this focus group. Our nine counties are: Butler, Fillmore, Gage, Jefferson, Polk, Saline, Seward, Thayer, York.

I am reaching out to ask for your help in recruiting clients (current or former), community members, family members, friends, and community partners who may be interested in participating in a Community Needs Assessment Focus Group.

What is a Community Needs Assessment Focus Group?
A Community Needs Assessment Focus Group is a structured discussion led by Crescendo Consulting Group that is designed to gather feedback from community members about the needs, challenges, strengths, and opportunities within our communities. The information collected will help BVCA and Public Health Solutions better understand community priorities and guide future planning, services, and resource development.

Focus Group Details

Focus groups will be conducted virtually via Zoom by Crescendo Consulting Group.
Each participant will receive a $25 gift card as a thank-you for their time.
Crescendo Consulting Group plans to conduct 2–3 focus groups.
They have requested that BVCA and Public Health Solutions recruit 10–15 individuals for each focus group.
Focus groups are tentatively scheduled for the weeks of June 22 and June 29, although sessions may also be conducted in July if needed.
Each focus group will last approximately one hour.
Please send me the names, email addresses, and phone numbers of anyone you believe may be interested in participating and sharing their perspectives on both the needs and strengths of our communities.

Deadline: Please email me contact information by Wednesday, June 17, at noon.

Blue Valley Community Action York would like to Thank Larry Hafer of Hafer Cattle Company for his donation inspired by the York FFA Difference Makers. Larry is a part of the Graze Master Group that is supporting the Difference Makers in a variety of ways. Del Ficke of Ficke Cattle Company and co-founder of the Graze Master Group also donated some ground beef towards the project. The 166 pounds will go towards the Difference Makers goal of collecting food at the York County Fair. More information coming about that project in the weeks ahead. Contact Kerry Hoffschneider to learn more about the Difference Makers at 402-363-8963. Difference Makers are creating an even deeper collaboration with Blue Valley Community Action - York County and we want it to inspire actions statewide around food security and ag education. Pictured here are Sandy a food pantry volunteer, Taytum Methe A Difference Maker, Dennis a food pantry volunteer and Jennifer Harre the Family Development Coordinator for York and Polk counties. It takes a whole community to make a difference and to thrive and we are out here doing it!! Thank you again for all your support!
