🇺🇸 💙❤️🤍🙌OVER 70 VETERANS IN-NEED SERVED AT OUR 4TH ANNUAL STAND DOWN!!!

Thank you York County for making our 4th Annual Veterans Stand Down possible! WE served more than 70 Veterans experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Veterans connected with resources, enjoyed a meal, and received support from organizations across our community, and some even got a fresh hair cut!

The West York Navy JROTC opened the event with the presentation of the colors and “The Star-Spangled Banner,” then volunteered throughout the day. American Legion York Post 127 for welcoming our Veterans and getting them registered. The Vet Center Bus and Salvation Army Canteen were on site, and VA Veterans Outreach brought mini homes for attendees to explore. Five raffle winners also received two-night stays at a local hotel! Ronda of Phase 2 Kutz provided professional haircuts.

A BIG thank you to the York Expo Center for providing the facilities for this event! We’re also grateful to every volunteer for their incredible service to our Veterans.

Thank you to our community partners and sponsors: LifePath Christian Ministries, Advent Lutheran Church, York Benevolent Association, The Salvation Army - York, PA, Atlas Rubber Stamp & Printing, Penn Waste, York JCC, York County Veterans Outreach, St. Mark's Prayer Shawl Ministry, York Pennsylvania Central Family Restaurant , PJ Restaurants, LLC, Friendship Community Church, York County Department of Veterans Affairs, Parker International Security Firm, Denise Cheetham, Church & Dwight, Ethel's BBQ, Sam’s Club, Papa John’s, ZIPS Cleaners, W.B.
