Yesterday was one of those days that truly filled our hearts. ❤️
For almost a year, Executive Board Member, Angie Garrison and Director of the Ambassador Program, Jessica Morales have been working behind the scenes to organize, fund, coordinate, and plan the Passing the Torch Youth Empowerment Games for Latinos Unidos of York.
Their dedication, teamwork, problem-solving, and commitment to our youth and community helped bring this special event to life. Almost a year of planning, funding requests, coordination, logistics, and countless details all came together in one incredible day.
And seeing the kids laugh, compete, cheer each other on, make new connections, and have such an amazing time made every bit of that hard work worth it. ❤️
Passing the Torch is about so much more than games. It is about bringing youth and law enforcement together, building trust, strengthening relationships, and creating positive experiences that can leave a lasting impact on our community.

This event also carries a very special meaning as we continue the legacy of Harry O. Colón, whose passion for Passing the Torch and love for this community continue to inspire us.
Yesterday was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when people come together with love, purpose, partnership, and a genuine heart for our youth.
We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Passing the Torch Youth Empowerment Games such a memorable day.
