The City of York, in partnership with Creative York, is excited to welcome back Art in the Parks, a FREE opportunity for youth to get creative, enjoy our parks, and participate in fun arts & crafts activities throughout the summer!

Bring your imagination, connect with friends, and enjoy hands-on projects in neighborhoods across the city. 🖌️☀️

🚨 York neighbors — help us save lives on Saturday, June 6. 🚨

The American Red Cross and community partners are coming together for a day of service focused on home fire safety in the NENA (Northeast Neighborhood Association) neighborhood.

📍 Event Central: Mars Park, 201 N. State St.
🗓 Saturday, June 6, 2026
⏰ 9:15 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

We need:
✅ Volunteers to help install smoke alarms
✅ Households to sign up for FREE smoke alarm installations and fire safety education

During the event, trained teams will:
• Install free smoke alarms
• Help families create home fire escape plans
• Share fire and flood preparedness resources

Because same-day installations are not guaranteed, residents are encouraged to reserve an appointment ahead of time.

This effort is made possible through the American Red Cross, SERVPRO of York City, York City Fire Department, Latinos Unidos, Mars Park, and community partners working together to keep York families safe.

Today’s the big day!!!! Please consider donating to Latinos Unidos of York to further keep our Director of the Ambassador Program which is assisting the Latino community connecting services such as workforce development, healthcare, translation services, and much more. Also, for your community events that are always free such as our Free Community Ice Cream Socials, Passing the Torch Youth Empowerment Games, Second Friday Latino, and Three Kings Day. 💛
