An epic day of baseball (finally) came to an end today. But not before two wins over strong teams from New York and New Jersey, and a gritty effort in a 10-6 loss to a legit team from Nevada. Huge complete-game victories on the mound for Soma and Graham. Gutsy pitching from Tucker, Kayson and Kaiden against Nevada. Fleet-of-foot baserunning for Sam. Line drive after line drive for Nate. Cale ripping lasers and playing wherever the squad needed. James with a dinger and eight stonewall innings behind the plate. Nat dirty as can be after some quality catching in the opener. Reed flashing the leather in the field. What an impressive tournament for your York Junior Wildcats!

A 12-run inning, another home run for Nat, and awesome pitching from Cale were highlights from a full Thursday. Playoffs start tomorrow at 9am!

Terrific day for your Junior Wildcats. A loss this morning to a strong California team (big home run by Nat a highlight for York!) got our first win this afternoon, a 12-0 shutout with Graham blasting a walk off grand slam. Us Wildcats enjoying an evening out on the town tonight, then two more games tomorrow, with first pitch at 11:30am for game one. Here’s video of Grahams mammoth homer.

What a day for your Junior Wildcats. Opening ceremonies, and amazing performance in the skills competitions (top 10 out of 104 teams in Around the Horn Plus!) Long day ended with a night game, good battle against a tough squad from New Jersey and an 8-2 setback. Quick turnaround tomorrow, 9am and 2pm contests!

All checked in and enjoyed our first meal in Cooperstown. Uniforms look sharp. Pin trading is in full force. Getting to bed at a decent hour tonight so we’re ready for opening ceremonies in the morning!

A tough contest against a real strong Seacoast Pirates squad last night - Coach Chamblee and Coach Wells have a deep, talented group. But good opportunities for us York Junior Wildcats to learn and grow. Meanwhile, our final practice tonight, final fundraiser Sunday (carwash, 9am-1pm, Nick’s Steakhouse), and Monday we check into Cooperstown DREAMS PARK! Exciting times!

A solid 12-5 win for your Junior Wildcats yesterday at Hussey Field - a couple 3-run homers and pitchers throwing strikes a good recipe for success! Taking on a strong Seacoast Pirates squad tonight, 5:30pm at Tilcon Field in Wells!

A wonderful weekend at Maine's Fenway, Purnell Wrigley Field and Coombs Field at Colby College. Your Junior Wildcats went 3-1, beating teams from Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Outstanding offense on Saturday and strong defense on Sunday!

Head to Hussey Field in South Berwick Wednesday for a 5:30pm scrimmage vs. the Seacoast Pirates 12U team coached by Rick Chamblee, and on Thursday, we are at Tilcon Field in Wells to play a 5:30pm scrimmage against the Seacoast Pirates 12U team coached by Jake Chamblee.
