AVA Magic has added another outstanding coach to our coaching ranks! Please give a Magic welcome to Coach Emma Hopper! 🎉

Coach Emma began her field hockey journey in New Jersey, starting at age ten and continuing on to play at Eastern Regional High School as a four-year varsity player. After high school she played four years at the University of Richmond, captaining her junior and senior seasons. While there, she helped lead her team to win the A10 Championship in 2014. 🏆

After graduation, Coach Emma played in a rec league during grad school before getting married and moving to Florida and then Texas.

She is happy to now be back in field hockey country after seven years and can't wait to help the next generation of young hockey players fall in love with the sport like she did many years ago! 🏑

Coach Emma is helping as an assistant for U12 Violet and will also help our players this winter season at indoor.

Welcome to the , Coach Emma! Much appreciation for taking your talents to the !🪄

💜Our young club, entering year 4.5, is just now able to see the small impact we have made on our local high-school communitues as our 8th, 9th, and 10th grade players--some who started with our rec teams in the fall of 2022--have joined their high school programs in the last two fall seasons, and are making their mark and leaving quite the impression.

Additionally, our Magic alumni, high school class of 2027, are our first group of seniors who are graduating in the spring, and some are leading and captaining their teams in the last year of their high school field hockey journeys. 🎉

We are incredibly proud of and amazed by our players who represent their high school Freshman, JV, and Varsity teams as they continue to embrace and radiate the AVA Magic culture and spirit on the field hockey pitch, in their teams' locker rooms, and in their team huddles. 🪄

To our players: Continue to work hard, finish your seasons strong, make great memories, and have so much fun for the rest of the season! ✨️

Keep shining, you incredible Magicians! We'll see you soon! 🏑
