On Thursday, I danced my heart out during talent on the Miss PA stage! Shoutout to our incredible night two preliminary winners, and ! ✨

We also added a spectacular young woman to the Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen sisterhood on Thursday! Congratulations to our new MPAOTeen, Jersey Gianna Smith. I can’t wait to watch you shine at nationals and throughout your year! 👑

So proud of both of my stellar teens, and , who placed in the Top 5 and the Top 8! 🤩

On Friday, the candidates got to network and share our social impact initiatives with local women in business at a luncheon hosted by the Women’s Business Center Organization of the York County Economic Alliance! Then, we danced the night away and Celt bagged our 2021 and 2022 titleholders at the Miss Pennsylvania Gala, sponsored by ! 🍫💃

Preliminary Night 1 ✅

I am so honored to have received the Shipley Social Impact Pitch Preliminary Award! My social impact initiative means so much to me, and I’m humbled to be recognized for sharing my mental health and recovery advocacy.

Congratulations to our phenomenal night one prelim talent winner, , our teen preliminary winners, and everyone else who received scholarships and shined onstage last night! ✨

Tonight rounds out preliminary competition, and I will perform my talent on the Miss Pennsylvania stage 💙

We danced the night away in our best princess dresses at the Miss Pennsylvania Belle of the Ball Party! 👑💖👗💃

The Miss Pennsylvania Belles is our brand new mentorship program for girls age 5-12. It was seriously so much fun to hang out with them last night and see their faces light up when they got crowns and sashes of their own. I grew up admiring the girls in the Miss America Organization and wanting to be just like them. It’s so special and full-circle to now be that for other girls. Young girls like these are so much of my “why” in doing this 💓

Special shout-out to our beautiful Belle from Berks County, Lyla! I can’t wait to watch you shine onstage this week, sweet girl ✨

What a spectacular day spent at the Pennsylvania State Capitol!

Thank you to Senator Hill, Senator Ward, and Representative Saylor for having the Miss Pennsylvania class as your guests today and sponsoring our lunch. It was an honor to be recognized on the House and Senate floors, and get to chat a bit with Berks County Representative, David Maloney. I even met someone who remembered hearing me speak about my story and my recovery advocacy at an overdose awareness event last year!

Day 1 ✅ Miss PA week is chugging along! 🚂

We kicked off the week with a press conference and train ride at Northern Central Railway in New Freedom, PA 🚂 Then, we had a fantastic lunch Seven Sports Bar & Grille and checked in to the beautiful Heritage Hills Golf Resort!

Miss Pennsylvania, here I come ✨🚘

It’s a gloomy day, but nothing can put a damper on this Miss PA check-in day!

I’ve been reflecting on how much I’ve grown since that first time I travelled to the state competition as a teen back in 2014. I could have thrown up in the car on the way that day. I was so nervous and very unsure of myself. But the person I travel to York today as, 8 years later, is a testament to what this organization can do for women, and I can’t wait to share that this week.

So excited for a great week with my people and to compete for the job I’ve been dreaming on since I was 9. No matter what, though, God is good always and His plan is the perfect one. That’s been a huge takeaway after all these years. Keeping Matthew 6:10 front of mind this week - “Thy will be done.” 💓

Hope and Coffee 🦋 ☕️

Last night, I had the incredible honor of sitting down with Lisa Scheller, nominee for US Congress in PA’s 7th District and founder of Hope & Coffee. Hope & Coffee is a non-profit coffee shop in Tamaqua, PA that serves as a sober, stigma-free oasis for people in recovery from substance use disorder. It is completely built and run by people in recovery, like Lisa. She told me her remarkable story of battling addiction, finding long-term recovery, and building something amazing to help others who are struggling, and I got to share my family’s story and my mental health/recovery advocacy with her. We also discussed what needs to be done on a state and federal level to battle the opioid crisis.

Hope & Coffee’s mission aligns so much with that of my own organization, Tyler’s Triumph. Thank you to Lisa and the Hope & Coffee staff for having me and for all that you do for the recovery community. It’s so needed. Stop by and grab the BEST coffee if you’re ever in Tamaqua! 💜
