We recently reached out to our PA representatives for help in letting our community know again we are still looking for a home building for York Toys for Tots. Our toys/materials are currently being stored until summer. State Rep. Carol Hill-Evans has a local District Office at 53 E. North St., Suite 3, York, PA and also at the PA State Capital, 528 E. Main Capitol Building and she kindly mentioned in her Newsletter to the community that "The York Unit of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 and in need of a location for storage and operations for 2026 and future campaigns. They are seeking a minimum of 10,000 square feet in the greater York area. The space does not need to be a stand-alone property—they are open to sharing. While they prefer an industrial or warehouse site with open floor plans, other types of facilities are OK. Ideally, they hope that the space would be donated for our use, but a corporate citizen has stepped up with some financial support. York County Toys for Tots is grateful to Shiloh American Legion Post 791 in York for its support of our 2025 Campaign. Coordinator Dave Brady (right) presents the 2026 Engineer’s Award to Post Commander Bill McCauley – the 11th such award since 2016! Along with hosting a collection box, Shiloh made a significant financial contribution and hosted several fundraising activities. We look forward to their participation in 2026!

York County Toys for Tots Needs a New Home
After many years of serving the children of York County, we’ve been given some difficult news: our current Toys for Tots warehouse is being torn down. That means we urgently need a new warehouse space to continue our mission.
This warehouse isn’t just four walls and a roof—it’s the heart of everything we do. It’s where thousands of toys are received, sorted, stored, and distributed each year to children who might otherwise wake up on Christmas morning with nothing. It’s where volunteers give countless hours, where community generosity turns into real joy, and where hope gets packed into boxes one toy at a time.
Without a suitable warehouse, Toys for Tots in York County could go away. And that would be a devastating loss—not just for us, but for the families and children who rely on this program every single year.
We are looking for a year-round warehouse space in York County—donated, low-cost, or sponsored—that can serve as our base of operations. If you own, manage, or know of a vacant warehouse, large commercial space, or unused building, or if your business or organization is willing to help, we need to hear from you.
York County has always stepped up when it mattered. This is one of those moments.

From our Toys for Tots family of volunteers to York County families, Thank you for all the love, generosity, and hope you shared this season. Whether you donated a toy(s), volunteered your time, spread kindness, worked in our warehouse or brought toys to our warehouse donated by all of you, York County. We say a BIG Thank You for helping to light up the lives of children in need. We had a very busy season which included looking for a new home to be our warehouse. We've been given a temporary place to store items since our warehouse is to be torn down, BUT we are still looking for a permanent home. So if you are aware of someone who has a warehouse and they'd love to talk about Toys for Tots making it their new home, please Message us and we'll get you to the correct people to talk to. Guess who got a call at 6:15 in a morning to pick up Toys For Tots at Wellspan Rehabilation @ Wheatlyn in Manchester! Yes they were missed because our volunteers didn't know Wellspan medical side gave a box to the Rehab side! Kelly and her team sure did their part! Thank you Bobbie and Mike for picking up and to all who contributed toys to our less fortunate York county children!

WE. ARE. M O V I N G !!! (at least temporarily)! Our new warehouse is only temporary until we find a permanent home. YES we are still in need of 10,000 s.f (8,000 s.f. minimum) with water (toilet 😉) and any other conveniences a landlord may have to offer. All hands on deck today and a special thanks for the York City Police Department!

Look at all these wonderful volunteers that helped us today - we had so many toys to bag and tag and they got the job done! BIG Thanks to Scout Troop 94 out of Shiloh for showing up and really working! We know they'll be back next year to help again! What a great way to teach our children about volunteering and helping others! There were even 8 people that dropped by after these pictures and yes, we put them to work along with about 5 others that didn't make it into the picture! Thank you all!

BIG Thank You to all the businesses/organizations where Matthew and Carol picked up the toys and brought to the warehouse for our York county children in need! They had a LOT of places to go to in their area, more than pictures show! Thank you to them, the businesses, and York county people for being caring and donating toys for Toys for Tots!
