🐾 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🐾

The Purrty Pals has several upcoming community events, and we’re looking for amazing volunteers to help us make them a success! 🧡😸

Whether you can help for a few hours or stay for the full event, every bit of support makes a difference.
Volunteer opportunities may include:

🚗 Transporting cats to/from events and foster homes
⛺️ Helping set up and break down our booth
😸 Talking with attendees about our adoptable cats and our mission
👷‍♀️ Helping supervise our cats and keep them safe during events

📍Upcoming Volunteer Dates:
• Yorba Linda - Saturday, September 12 | 12 PM-10 PM
• Mission Viejo - Saturday, October 10 | 9:30 AM-3 PM
• Costa Mesa — Saturday, October 17 | 9:30 AM-3 PM

A message from Meaghan:
“Thank you to all of our Purrty Pals followers for your support! We couldn’t do this lifesaving work without you.

We have 45 cats in the rescue available for fostering and adopting at this time. 🐱

A little about our Founder:
Meaghan is an Orange County native who earned her Bachelor of Science from California State University, Fullerton. After beginning her career in human wellness and exercise physiology, she transitioned into veterinary medicine in 2020 when an opportunity allowed her to combine her passion for helping others with her love of animals.

Meaghan began working primarily with dogs and cats in high-volume vaccination clinics before expanding into high-volume spay and neuter medicine in 2023. Through this work, she became increasingly aware of how many pet owners struggle to access affordable basic veterinary care and developed a strong passion for making preventive and essential services more accessible within her community.

Her work in veterinarv medicine also led her into animal rescue, where she helps stray and at-risk cats throughout Orange County receive medical care, rehabilitation, and the opportunity to find loving forever homes. She is especially passionate about preventive care, population control, animal welfare, and helping bridge the gap between veterinary medicine and rescue.

Outside of work, Meaghan enjoys taking her cats on walks, staying active and exercising, visiting local farmers markets, and hosting adoption events for rescued animals.

Meet sweet Penelope and her four kittens: Persephone, Hades, Poseidon, and Perseus 💕

Penelope showed up in one of our main Foster’s yard, unclaimed by any neighbors, and no microchip.
(We are on an intake hold, but I guess the cats know where to go when they need help! And know where to go for food 😂)

We took Penelope in for an ultrasound a few months ago to confirm her pregnancy and saw four little spines in there. She was already almost ready to give birth.

She gave birth to these four beautiful babies who are the sweetest, spunkiest, and very vocal little ones. We love them so much 🥹

There are 3 boys and 1 girl.

Kittens are 5 1/2 weeks now and everyone (including momma) are available for pre-adoption.

Please help us welcome this beautiful family and help us spread the news so we can find them wonderful homes!

Wondering what they are in?
To make sure all kittens are safe, we fishnet, which basically “baby proofs” a kennel. This way, no kittens can escape or get their heads caught between the bars. They also have access to a heating pad.
Kittens are now eating mommas wet food and are starting to drink on their own! Go babies go! 🙌🏼
