Remember the little Carson kitties who came to us through the help of independent rescuers? Well this is one of the little girls, reminding us why it's so important to work together. It takes a whole community of people stepping up at different moments to keep these kittens safe. The rescuers who find them, the people who open their homes and foster, the veterinarians who care for them, the volunteers who love on them, and the adopters who say, “Yes, you’re ours.” We are endlessly thankful for every person who helps make these happy endings possible. 🩷

Oreo was found all alone outside after his previous owners moved away and left him behind, unable to care for him. When his rescuer found him, Oreo was understandably scared, but it didn’t take long for him to show just how much love he had left to give. He climbed right into their car and quickly revealed the sweet, affectionate little kitten underneath all that fear. Despite everything he had been through, Oreo never stopped trusting people. He never stopped believing that someone would choose him and finally, someone finally did. Oreo is officially adopted and getting the second chance he deserved all along. 🩷

Baby Atat is on the move! This little guy is learning how to walk, and today he got to do some supervised exploring outside of his cozy space.
At this age, every tiny step is a big milestone. Safe, supervised movement gives growing kittens the chance to build strength, coordination, balance, and confidence while their little bodies develop.
He may still be a little wobbly, but he’s figuring it out one step at a time. 🩶

As summer comes to an end and school, work, and busy schedules start picking back up, we are looking for a few new faces to help keep our kitties cared for!
Our current open volunteer shifts are:
Monday mornings from 9-11am
Every other Monday night starting 8/24 from 5-7pm
Every other other Wednesday night starting 8/26 from 5-7pm
Friday nights from 5-7pm
Our volunteers make such a huge difference for cats waiting for their forever homes. From clean kennels to playtime and plenty of love, these two hours help make sure our cats have everything they need while they are in the adoption center.

Wall-e's story began at the shelter and he had a date where it was supposed to end there too. He is one of the lucky ones to make it out. It's no surprise Wall-e was one of the kittens that quickly became one of my favorite litters in a very long time. I am extremely grateful I had the opportunity to give them a chance to grow up somewhere safe and loved.
And now look at him!
Wall-e is officially home and looking happier than ever. His little face says it all! 🥹
