🪞poet laureate Phillisha Villanueva will guide us through a creative writing workshop inspired by the gallery and our collective cultural experiences
block printing & clothing swap: bring something / take something / make something. Pre made blocks and materials provided for you to print on cloth and paper.
🫶🏽 re: clothing swap: we have a lot to share so don’t stress about bringing something ! Pls bring clean gently used items.
🤩community lunch: we try our best to ensure our gatherings include food as it’s essential to our physical and mental wellbeing. It’s estimated that 1 in 3 families in Westchester suffer from food and nutrition insecurity. We hope to uplift commensality (eating together) as a key factor in community building understanding its social and cultural significance.
