Yesterday, everyone who loved our Matty and continues to keep his memory alive came together for the 12th Annual Matthew Wallace Memorial Tournament. ♥️♥️♥️
It was truly a beautiful day filled with hugs, laughter, memories, and so much love. ♥️ There is something incredibly special about bringing together the people who knew and loved Matty to celebrate his life and the impact he continues to have on all of us.
This amazing day would not have been possible without our incredible commissioners and volunteers. A huge thank you to commissioners Joe Goff and Dylan Kane for all of their hard work, organizing the tournament, and Danny Monge for organizing umpires ♥️♥️♥️
An equally enormous thank you to our wonderful volunteers: Russell Greenblatt, Kristie Greenblatt, Tracey Whittaker, Belle Ortiz, Alana Tajong, Louise Siciliano, Kaitlyn Maura Allen, Aiden Mulvey, Justin Tubiolo, Victoria Dianne, Johnny Daggers, the Yonkers Firefighters Local 628, and of course our amazing Sandra Marie Casey ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Last Wednesday…..Ooops we did it again 😊♥️
Thanks to our fabulous volunteers and Yonkers Firefighters Local 628 we were able to help our community last Wednesday ♥️
In addition to healthy food we distributed full backpacks ♥️

Today, Matthew would have turned 30.
Although he was only with us for 17 years, the love, laughter, and light he brought into this world continue to live on through everyone who knew him and through the work of the Matthew Wallace Foundation.

Birthdays are a reminder not only of the years we had, but of the difference one life can make. Today, we invite you to celebrate Matthew's life by doing one simple act of kindness in his memory. It could be checking in on someone who's struggling, helping a neighbor, buying a coffee for a stranger, volunteering your time, or simply offering a smile and a few kind words.

If you'd like, we'd love for you to share your act of kindness in the comments. Together, we can create a ripple effect of compassion that reflects the kind of world Matthew would have wanted.
