Riley Update🩷

We are so incredibly relieved and happy to share some wonderful news about Riley 🤍

Riley’s biopsy results came back, and the lump on her right hind leg was determined to be a reaction to her rabies vaccination. This biopsy was necessary as we had to rule out feline injection-site sarcoma, which was a very real concern. Thankfully, that has been ruled out completely.

Since then, the lump has fully resolved and gone away on its own, and Riley is feeling great with no further treatment needed.

After weeks of worry, stress, and waiting, we can finally breathe again. We are beyond grateful that this sweet girl is healthy and back to her normal self.

🩷Riley is officially AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION again! 🩷

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, prayed, and supported Riley during this scary time. Your love and support truly made a difference and allowed us to get her the care she needed without hesitation.

If you’re interested in adopting Riley or would like more information, please reach out — we would love to help her find her forever home 🤍

Meet Riley 🩷
Riley came into this world tiny, fragile, and fighting. She was raised from a neonatal kitten, bottle-fed around the clock with the help of dedicated, amazing rescuers who poured their love into her until she was strong enough to eat on her own. Because of that teamwork and compassion, Riley grew into the sweet, resilient girl she is today.

This month, Riley went in for her yearly checkup and vaccinations and everything seemed fine. But about two weeks later, we noticed a small lump forming on her right hind leg. Yesterday, we brought her back to the vet to have it examined. While the vet attempted to drain it, the lump was hard, indicating it may be a mass rather than something benign.

We made the decision to move forward with a biopsy, and a sample has been sent out. We should have the results next week, but we are incredibly worried for our sweet girl.

This initial vet visit alone cost $576.77, and depending on the results, Riley may need further diagnostics or treatment. As a rescue, moments like this are where we need our community the most. Please consider donating toward Riley’s care

Please keep Riley in your thoughts and prayers❤️

🚨 VAN SURGERY UPDATE 🚨

Sweet Van’s journey has taken some tough turns, but this little fighter has shown so much strength.

Just days ago, Van developed a urinary blockage — a life-threatening emergency for cats. He underwent a procedure to unblock him and have a catheter placed so he could pass urine. While that procedure gave him temporary relief, the surgeon quickly confirmed what we had feared: because of Van’s anatomically incorrect urethra opening (too small to allow urine to pass normally), the blockage would return without corrective surgery.

With no time to waste, we made the decision to keep Van admitted and scheduled him for perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery the very next day.

We are overjoyed to share that Van’s surgery was successful! He came through beautifully, has already started urinating on his own, and is now back home recovering with his amazing foster.

While Van is finally on the path to healing, the cost of his emergency procedure, hospitalization, surgery, and recovery care has placed a huge financial strain on our small rescue. We urgently need help covering these expenses so Van — and other cats like him — can continue to receive lifesaving care.

If you’re able, please consider donating toward Van’s surgery and recovery. Every dollar makes a difference in giving this sweet boy the chance at the healthy, happy life he deserves.

🚨 URGENT: VAN NEEDS LIFE-SAVING SURGERY 🚨

Just the other day, Van was seen at VEG for a possible urinary blockage. Thankfully, they confirmed he wasn’t blocked at the time — but they were unable to diagnose his condition and referred us to an internal medicine specialist.

A second opinion revealed the heartbreaking truth: Van’s body is anatomically incorrect. His urethra opening is severely swollen and too small to allow urine to pass normally. This is an extremely dangerous condition that, if left untreated, can quickly become fatal.

Van is currently hospitalized at Guardian Veterinary Specialists. This morning, he will be seen by a specialist to determine our next steps. The emergency doctor strongly suspects that Van will need a surgery called a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU).

What is a PU surgery?
Perineal urethrostomy is a complex, life-saving procedure that creates a new urinary opening for cats with severe urethral issues. It allows urine to pass freely, preventing blockages and infections that could otherwise cost Van his life.

Van is only 3 years old — full of love, sweetness, and a future that deserves to be lived. But right now, his life depends on this surgery.

We urgently need your help to give Van this chance. Every single contribution makes a difference.

🚨 URGENT: VAN IS AT THE VET 🚨

Van is currently at the vet after exhibiting symptoms of a possible urinary blockage — a life-threatening emergency for cats. This condition can become fatal in just hours without immediate treatment.

He is undergoing an emergency exam and diagnostics right now, and our current bill is already at $861.71. We need your help to cover these costs so Van can continue to get the care he needs. Every minute matters, and every donation — no matter the size — could be the reason Van survives this.

Please donate and share to help us fight for Van’s life. Your support means the world.

Rest in Love, Sweet Jay

When we rescued Jay, he was battling painful infected wounds, but we were determined to give him the chance he deserved. He responded gently to treatment, and despite everything he had been through, he still purred, accepting love with a soft heart.

Shortly after his rescue, Jay stopped eating, and further testing revealed heartbreaking news — he was in the final stages of kidney failure. He was suffering, and we made the most humane and loving choice we could: to help him cross peacefully.

Jay spent his last moments surrounded by warmth, care, and love. He even enjoyed one last Churu treat and purred softly until the very end.

His time with us was short, but he left a lasting impact. We find peace knowing he didn’t die alone, in pain, or unloved. Jay mattered. And now he rests with dignity, finally free from suffering.

Run free, sweet boy. We’ll carry you in our hearts always.❤️

🚨 URGENT: Jay Needs Your Help! 🚨

Today, we finally rescued Jay, a cat who has survived over 10 years in a Bronx parking lot. We met him recently and saw he was suffering from a severe, infected wound on his head and back paw. Tragically, during our efforts to trap him for medical care, a feeder in the area was uncooperative, and Jay disappeared for 9 long days.

But today, we found him. And he is safe. ❤️

Jay is now at the vet, where we will be running urgent bloodwork and beginning immediate treatment. Despite everything, he is the sweetest, most trusting boy. He deserves to know love, safety, and a life free from suffering.

We need your help to cover his medical expenses and give Jay the care he so desperately needs. Please, if you can, donate and share his story. Every dollar counts toward saving his life.

Thank you for fighting for Jay. Let’s show him that his years of struggle weren’t in vain.
