🎉DAY THREE OF THE TEXAS FFA CONVENTION🎉

At this point we don’t really know how much sleep we’ve gotten, or what day it is. However, we are certain that today starts with another early morning walk to convention!

Lilly, Dayson, Abeigh, Jaxson, Westin and Bryleigh served as our voting delegates for the third and fourth general sessions.

The FFA really “Feels Like Home” during the third general session. Our Area VII and Area IV State Vice Presidents gave their retiring addresses. We also celebrated as members from across the state received scholarships and recognitions for their successes from the past year.

As the week is quickly coming to an end we’re reminded that our “Next Stop: Home” during the fifth general session. Addyson and Hanna were recognized and awarded their respective scholarships. It was so cool to see them on the big stage! Our very own Area XI Vice President and Area I Vice President gave their retiring addresses. Our members also had the privilege of hearing some words from our National FFA Western Region Vice President, Jael Cruikshank!

Our night concluded with everyone’s favorite event: FUN NIGHT!! This year’s theme was “Texas Nights, Neon Lights!” and boy did our kids show up and out! Our officers served as voting delegates to elect their state winning talent team to represent us at National Convention this October. We all were also allowed to vote for the People’s Choice team! All of the talent teams were exceptional acts and made for a great final night of convention.

🎉DAY TWO OF TEXAS FFA CONVENTION🎉

It’s only day two and the sleep deprivation is already kicking in😵‍💫

We started our day bright and early with the Texas FFA Business Session. Dominic, Gunnar, Reagan, Crosby, Ty, and Joel served as voting delegates. Our delegates got to vote on budget proposals and amendments to the Texas FFA Bylaws/Constitution. They also heard speeches from our 3 National FFA officer candidates and voted for who they thought would best represent Texas FFA at the National level this October.

The Texas FFA Convention officially began with the first general session. We were “Welcomed Home” by our state officers for the official theme of the 98th Texas FFA Convention. Our members listened to retiring addresses from our State First Vice President and Area X Vice President. We were inspired to “Live Legendary” by our keynote speaker Courtenay DeHoff, and also celebrated new chapter charters and membership awards.

Nee-dohs, squishies, clothes pins, and fidgets were a hot commodity this year. They helped keep us awake through our lunch break and offered a fun and creative way to meet and connect with other FFA Members!

We learned “Home is Where the Jacket Is” in the second general session. Our Area VI and Area V State Vice Presidents gave their retiring addresses. Our voting delegates listened to speeches from the 2026-2027 state officer candidates and voted for who they felt would best represent Texas FFA as the State President and First Vice President.

To end our day, we opted out of the third general session for some team bonding at a Texas Rangers game! Even though it wasn’t the best night for the Rangers, we had a blast eating as many dollar dogs, snowcones, peanuts, and cotton candy as we could, trying our hardest to get on the Jumbotron, oh and of course panicking at and attempting to catch the occasional home runs and fly balls hit our way.

🎉TEXAS FFA CONVENTION RECAP🎉
Day 1 of Texas FFA convention included lots of celebration, exploring, and most importantly FUN!

Our day started off with the first of many daily walks to the convention center where our members got their first look into what this week would have in store. Our first stop was the massive exhibit hall full of colleges, industry professionals, shops, and more for students to learn, network, and shop. Hanna did an excellent job helping us navigate our way throughout the booths.

We also cheered on Jaxson as he walked the big stage to receive his Lone Star Degree. This is the highest degree that can be awarded at the state level and is a true testament to the time, work, and dedication our members have put into their Supervised Agricultural Experiences.

To celebrate, we spent our afternoon at Activate! gaming. We had so much fun that we forgot to take any pictures.

Texas FFA begins every convention with a kick off concert. This year our members got to jam out to Aaron Watson who put on an INCREDIBLE show! Definitely one of the best Texas FFA Convention Concerts ever.

On our way back to the hotel we took advantage of the FIFA fan zones set up across the street from our hotel. They were the perfect place for us to watch the games, celebrate with locals, and of course grab some pictures for Instagram.
