Our crews have begun treating poison hemlock and other noxious weeds today, we’ve started in areas where folks spend a lot of time and will spread out from there, please continue to be mindful of hemlock when out and about in our beautiful areas !

We have been treating poison hemlock at the Walker River Resort , they use our weeds for hire program to help keep their property free of noxious weeds ! We treated a large area of Poison Hemlock on some private land in Smith Valley yesterday for a previous customer of the Weeds For Hire program. She optioned to hire us to treat the hemlock on her property.

🚨Please be aware of poison hemlock. 🚨

It is extremely dangerous for animals and humans alike. It will cause severe blistering and rashes if it touches you skin. It can kill livestock or pets if consumed. Please share this and our previous post about hemlock in Lyon County. Help us make the public aware. It has exploded this year and we are attempting to make folks aware in a hope to keep people safe.

🚨🚨We have spotted a lot more POISON HEMLOCK ☠️ along the Walker River this year, please use extreme caution ⚠️ , do not confuse it with tall white top. We have located a lot near lake topaz, smith valley and in Wilson Canyon. The leaves resemble a carrot, it’s a member of that plant family…so even if you can’t see the flowers, you can identify the leaves. 🚨🚨
