Our mission is to restore hope, renew purpose, and help individuals into lasting recovery.

At Truly Motivated Transitional Living, we provide safe, faith-based recovery housing and supportive community for men/women rebuilding their lives from addiction. Truly Motivated Transitional Living (TMTL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to guiding men and women on their journey from addiction to independence. Through our structured, faith-based housing programs, we offer a safe e

nvironment, mentorship, employment support, and community connection that empower lasting transformation. Our homes are staffed and designed to foster accountability, personal growth, and spiritual renewal — helping residents rebuild relationships, restore stability, and rediscover purpose. The Restoration House ladies spent time putting paint,creativity and thought on canvas last night together.
The prompt was starting with a blank canvas can be exciting and intimidating, much like our recovery, but getting started in anticipation is what matters and avoiding the temptation to be perfect.

We are thrilled to announce that we have a new team member!! Lamont joined us as a Men's Staff Coach this month, but he has been showing up to volunteer in any way he could long before.
Lamont has faithfully been leading morning devotions with the men, spending time building relationships and coming alongside staff.
Lamont graduated from our program last year and has a beautiful story full of redemption and his heart to serve and give back is what has shaped his life and recovery.

We asked Lamont to share a bit about his "why"-

" My name is Lamont and I suffered from the spiritual brokenness of addiction for 28 years. Through the grace of God, I was blessed to have the opportunity to come through the program here at Truly Motivated in 2025. I got to experience first-hand the unique community setting that helped me change my life. And today, as a result of my newfound life, I am honored to have the opportunity to help guide beautiful people in early recovery to transform their lives. Today my life has purpose which is more valuable than silver or gold. God still performs miracles every day, and Truly Motivated is living proof of that. Words cannot describe how special this place is, and I am grateful to serve as a part of such a precious community."

Our program is all about relationships. Relationships that heal, restore trust and that bring connection. Even after graduating, we are delighted when our grads come by for a chat, attend our events and stay connected.
One of our grads Jamie called today to share that she is off of probation, and all of her court and legal issues are finally behind her!!
She fought through them while with us, and it was no easy climb by any means.

We want to congratulate and celebrate Truly Motivated alum Amber for graduating with honors from Centralia College! Her chosen career is a Substance Use Disorder Professional and she is already working in the field. Amber started school while still in our program, she graduated our program two years ago, stays connected and stays grateful every day for her beautiful life in recovery.
Congratulations Amber!!! You are a world changer and we are so proud of you!

Great first day of the WAQRR Annual Leadership Conference!!! Always so good to be with old friends and others passionate about all things recovery. So much great networking, we have five House Leaders soaking it all in!! Grateful for quality recovery homes across our state!!

We want to give a huge congratulations to Amber Marie Taylor for following her dream to be licensed massage therapist once again! Amber graduated a couple years ago and has been driving for Amazon, worked hard to get her license back and started her new job today as an LMT!!! Hard work pays off and determination pays off.

The staff at Truly Motivated are the " secret sauce" to the work we do. We're grateful for the faithful service of those who have poured their gifts, time, lived experience, love and heart into our organization and the brave men and women we serve.

We wanted to share some recent staffing transitions and hope you will join us in celebrating those who have spent time and moved on after years of impactful service and who is new to our team.

In April we said farewell to Tom & Barbara Alig. Tom & Barb served as Staff Coaches with us for combined 11 years. They prayerfully led morning devotions with our participants, taught classes, Bible studies and spent countless hours in one-on-one Genesis coaching. As usual, in non-profit work, Tom & Barbara had specific roles and duties, but were also always ready to jump in on anything that was needed. Tom also served as our Program Director and Barbara as an Administrative Assistant. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication and the many ways they poured into Truly Motivated and helped us further our mission to change lives. We wish Tom & Barbara all the best as they enjoy retirement and their grandkids and pups together!

We also welcomed Cassie Waddill to the team in April as Women's Staff Coach. Cassie brings energy and a love for Jesus and people, and we are delighted to have her join us! Here is Cassie in her own words-

" I am incredibly honored and excited to be a part of the team here at Truly Motivated as the new Women’s Staff Coach. My own story is one of redemption which began with my heart being changed and life fully transformed by Jesus. Through every season of my life, God assigned people to love on me; including the years I spent in active addiction, homelessness and in toxic relationships.

I am an active member of Faith Life, a full gospel church in Rochester, WA and a recent Thurston County Drug Court graduate. Over the years, God has used many experiences to shape me through integrity, accountability, healing and community. Through recovery, discipleship, transitional programs, and the grace of God I’ve experienced firsthand what it means to have people believe in you before you fully believe in yourself.

Today, I’m passionate about walking alongside women as they rebuild their lives and discover the hope and purpose God has for them. I’m thankful for the opportunity to pour back into others what was and continuously is being poured into me."
