YS Kids Playhouse Original Theater for Youth YSKP is a one of a kind experience putting youth on the ground floor of an artistic endeavor with big themes and big ideas.

The ineffable effect of creating all original work includes the ownership and excitement of doing something-playing a part-that none have before. As we prepare to wrap up YSKP we will be collecting short videos from alumni who cannot make it out to the It’s a Wrap! Gala (event details below) so that they can still be part of the celebration!

Alumni can use their phone to take a video and send them to Xenith Dewey on Facebook, or [email protected].

Video guidelines:
- horizontal format
- maximum 1 minute long
- take pauses between topics (for editing purposes)
- ⚠️ by submitting a video you give YSKP permission to use, edit, and share the video at in-person events and online

Content: respond to these three prompts…

After 27 years of YSKP, it is time to strike the set of YSKP.

Although the theatre is going dark, the YSKP legacy will live on through an archive maintained by the Green County Public Library and the YSKP Endowed Legacy Scholarship, which will be established through the assistance of the YS Community Foundation.

This scholarship will provide $700 annually to a YSHS graduate who is interested in pursuing advanced education and training in art and innovation-related practices. Fundraising will kick off at our It's a Wrap Gala—we are starting with $4,000 in seed money from our bank reserve funds, and our goal is to reach the Foundation's $25,000 endowed scholarship minimum. Please consider supporting our future artists!
