Agraria Center for Regenerative Practice

Agraria Center for Regenerative Practice Agraria is a nonprofit working toward Bioregional Regeneration in Southwest Ohio.

We research, demonstrate, and teach practices to restore the health of our soil, the diversity of our ecosystems, and the resilience of our communities. At Agraria, we offer a 10-month Regenerative Farmer Fellowship for aspiring BIPOC farmers; incubator plots for beginning farmers; annual conferences on Black farming and regenerative agriculture; workshops for gardeners, herbalists and homesteader

s; youth programs that teach regenerative skills and nature literacy; and nature-based curriculum for K-12. We also partner with area universities on research, support gardens and farmer's markets serving food insecure communities in the region, convene a national BIPOC Farming Network, and host community gatherings at our farm to celebrate agrarian culture.

🦋 A happy lil Monarch visited our hoop house today. Thanks to generous support from the Cabbage Hill Farm Foundation, we’ve been able to fix up our hoop house and start preparing to turn it into a native propagation station with an attached native nursery and willow harvesting bed.

We’ve been adding lots of native plants around our front gardens and building spaces to support monarchs & other important pollinators 🌱🐝

Join our Edible Flowers: Making Flower Infused Sugars workshop tomorrow from 2-3pm in the Agraria library. We’ve got a variety of sugars and flowers to try. Flower sugar adds a unique floral touch to drinks, baking, and makes a great gift.

This class is free for volunteers (if you’ve never volunteered before, come help Al & the crew harvest produce for the food pantry during Seed Saturday tomorrow from 10-12), or is open to the public with a donation of any amount to our Friends of Agraria campaign (agrariacenter.org/friendsofagraria)

The Agraria leadership team invites you to join our Friends of Agraria campaign to help build our capacity as a bioregional learning center to better meet our goals of Feeding Soil, Feeding Pollinators, and Feeding People.

We’re adding new growing, gleaning, foraging, and food forest spaces as well as native plant and rain gardens. These will be open to the public to support food security and hands-on learning.

We’ve recruited a dynamic new board of diverse local food system and nonprofit leaders, educators, and farmers to help guide our mission of cultivating community resilience by modeling regenerative practices.

Learn more at our website agrariacenter.org. Visitors can attend farm tours every Saturday from 10am-2pm or by contacting [email protected]
