Agraria Center for Regenerative Practice Agraria is a nonprofit working toward Bioregional Regeneration in Southwest Ohio.

We research, demonstrate, and teach practices to restore the health of our soil, the diversity of our ecosystems, and the resilience of our communities. At Agraria, we offer a 10-month Regenerative Farmer Fellowship for aspiring BIPOC farmers; incubator plots for beginning farmers; annual conferences on Black farming and regenerative agriculture; workshops for gardeners, herbalists and homesteaders; youth programs that teach regenerative skills and nature literacy; and nature-based curriculum for K-12. We also partner with area universities on research, support gardens and farmer's markets serving food insecure communities in the region, convene a national BIPOC Farming Network, and host community gatherings at our farm to celebrate agrarian culture.

Folks will be able to glean in our kitchen garden during Seed Fest this Saturday from 1-4pm. Take some goodies home along with free seeds and seed garlic and enjoy your own harvest snack 🥪🥙

We’ve donated 4,078 pounds of produce so far to our local food pantries. And we’re still harvesting!

That translates to 16,312 agricultural standard servings or 23,122 international health standard servings of free fresh local produce we've grown for our neighbors in need.

Along with our amazing group of volunteers who’ve helped grow food and care for bluebirds and working animals around the farm, we’re super grateful to partners & supporters who’ve provided seeds, plants, helped build healthy soils, donated food scraps for compost, monitored our conservation areas, and more.

October is filled with Special Events on the farm 🎃🍁🍂

🗓️ Seed Fest 10/17, Sat. 1-4pm. Learn how to save, harvest, and process a variety of seeds. Meet seed farmers & learn how to start or scale a seed business. Free seed library tables. Garlic planting demo with free seed garlic. Seed harvesting walk with local forager, Joey Peterson. Lavender Project will be collecting seed stories & gardening wisdom. Taproot (Chef Van from Mazu) onsite selling tasty vegan dishes. Free mushroom blocks from Guided by Mushrooms (learn how to use mycelium to build healthy soil).

🗓️ “Rooted” 10/22, Thursday 6-8pm. agriCULTURE night with artist-in-residence Love’Yah Stewart. Enjoy an intimate evening in the barn with artist conversations and photography exhibits celebrating Love’Yah’s journey as an agricultural photographer and the land & communities that have shaped her work. Light refreshments provided.

🗓️ Halloween Party & Potluck 10/29, Thursday, 5-6:30pm. Gathering in the barn to celebrate the end of the season. C***r making demo & tasting. Seed swap. Costumes encouraged. Please bring a fall or Halloween dish/treat/snack to share. Interested folks can join us afterwards to support the Little Art theater by attending their 7pm classic movie series screening of “Halloween”. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.
