Antioch College's International Circle

For the moment this IG is called the International Circle but we'll have a vote here soon to decide a final name. As our current mission statement says, "Our mission is to expand awareness on campus about international events, news, cultures, and lifestyles." Our mission statement is also going to be revised so that more members can add their input and in a future meeting we will finalize it. We a

re just starting this group on campus and are hoping that the direction it takes will be influenced a lot by all of you lovely people with all of your lovely thoughts and ideas. Some very tentative plans we have so far are:

- show international news programs in the dining hall(s) once
a week
- show international films once a month or so
- host international dinners (i.e. Indian food one night and
German another)

We are definitely looking to expand our group and involve as many students and faculty as possible. Our "launching" of the group will be next Saturday (the 15th) and will be a showing of the Brazilian movie City of God. More details about the event will be put up soon, but there will be popcorn so put it on your calendars!
