The seed library cart at the YS library has egg cartons available that are perfect to start seedlings indoors. Here's info on when to get started in our area:
"In southwest Ohio (Zone 6), the last frost date is May 15th. This means you should start your seeds indoors between March 30 and April 30th."

We are a new seed library opening 2 locations in YS next weekend! A Traveling location will operate every Saturday starting Feb. 5th at the YS Farmers Market (Winter location is at the YS Senior center from 9-11am) and a Main location will open Sunday, Feb, 6th at the YS Library during regular business hours in the hallway near the Virginia Hamilton meeting room. The Traveling location will feature a Seed of the Week with info on it's history, usage, and growing tips. The Main location will offer an assortment of seeds from edible plants and flowers. You can also drop off seeds you'd like to share at either location. All seeds are FREE, simply take what you'd like to grow and share your contact info to "check" seed packets out from the seed libraries. Then save some of the seeds from plants that do well and "return" a portion to the library to keep paying it forward in our community.
