• FREE EVENT
• Limited to 16 participants
• 6 spots reserved for Woodson County youth
This event is designed to give young women and men a fun, safe introduction to pheasant hunting in a controlled environment.

🧥 REQUIREMENTS
• Hunter orange
• Safety glasses & hearing protection
• Cold-weather clothing
• Shotgun & shells

📜 LICENSE INFO
• Ages 16+ must have a hunting license or controlled shooting area permit
• Ages 15 & under do NOT need a license
• Hunter Safety Certification recommended but not required. We have extra mentors prepared to help
• Mentors provided
• Parent or legal guardian must attend

Just because we’ve been quiet doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy this spring and summer. Pictures below include our Yates Center High School 2025 scholarship recipients, turkey hunting and fishing derby fun, Woodson County fair wildlife award recipient, and last weekend’s hunters education at Lone Pine Hunting Preserve. Stay tuned this fall for more fun and hopefully we can make time for a fundraiser. I would like to take this time to thank all the mentors and supporters that help make all this possible!
