The Crowbait Club

November may be approaching, BUT that doesn’t mean we can’t still do spooky-season themes! Actors, playwrights, and theatre-lovers alike: Join us for our November Crowbait! We can’t wait to see you in a week 🐦‍⬛ 🧙

Your host is Katie Fine! Katie hails from the Philadelphia area, where she studied acting, performed in local theater and a sketch comedy group, and sang in cover bands. Since moving to Maine in 2023, she worked with Gaslight Theater in Hallowell and has written/performed/directed for The Theater Project “Tell Your Story” series. Recently, she performed in the King of Crows Festival for The Crowbait Club.

It was most certainly NOT the end of the world Sunday night! Yet another great crowd, welcoming of new members, and selection of plays. Thank you to all the playwrights who submitted plays, including Gina Guadagnino, who got her play performed AND won best actor as a first-time crowbaiter! And another congrats is in order for Karin Orenstein, a frequent playwright winner who took the top winning prize yet again. KOC is already shaping up to be a great festival next year! 🐦‍⬛

We hope to see ya next time on Sunday, November 1 at 7 pm! Your host is Katie Fine, and the theme is BURN THE WITCH. 🧙‍♀️

We are ONE week away from our October deathmatch! Fall is here, spooky season is in the air, and our host picked a great theme. Playwrights, have you started writing yet? No? Well… I guess it’s not the end of the world. Or is it? 🐦‍⬛

Your host is Rodney Nason! He is a lifelong drama bum who paints houses to survive. He studied theater and English at USM and appears on various stages as a poet, dancer, musician, actor or performance artist, depending on which way the wind blows. Recently, Rodney directed two plays in our King of Crows festival.

Hope to see you this Sunday, October 4! Doors at 6:30, 7 pm start. $10 cash or Venmo. Come act, bring a 10-minute script, spectate, or all three!
