Maine Acoustic Festival MAF is dedicated to honoring, sustaining & developing the unique roots music traditions that have enriched America.

Open to Middle & HS musicians by video audition (Due Dec 1) . The 2019 Maine Acoustic Festival will take place on April 6, 2019. The Maine Acoustic Festival is a statewide student musicc. Festival that is dedicated to honoring, sustaining and developing the unique roots music traditions that have enriched America. Genres have included bluegrass, Old Time, Irish, Québécois and Traditional American

Vocal Harmony. Every spring, selected Middle School and High School students from around the state spend two and a half days rehearsing and participating in workshops and performances. The 2017 Festival takes place in Yarmouth March 31- April 2 and will feature nationally known teaching artists and performers Lauren Rioux, Brendan Taaffe, Tony Watt, Hanz Araki and Steve Muise. The Maine Acoustic Festival is produced by 317 Main Community Music Center and North Yarmouth Academy and supported by generous donations.
