At Whilde, we take immense pride in the compassionate leadership shown by our students. We would like to recognize Sabrina, a Virtually Whilde student, who spent her pre-holiday season organizing a multi-community donation campaign. Thanks to her hard work and dedication, vital supplies were delivered to neighbors in need, making a tangible difference in our community.

Back in November, Sabrina, a student, reached out to Shalom in hopes of collecting donations to benefit our clients. She worked with her local supports and Verbena in South Portland to collect items. Before the holiday, she dropped off toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, other hygiene products, and paper towels. This is community. Thank you so much, Sabrina!💚

Camp is right around the corner, and we are looking to hire one more Counselor.

ABOUT WHILDE CAMPS

Whilde Camps are the summer extension of The Whilde School, and are designed for campers ages 6 to 11. Whilde Camps feature weekly themed sessions that blend hands-on learning, outdoor exploration, and tons of fun! Whether we're working on our spy or survivor skills or taking artistic adventures, every week is a new journey — and we're looking for passionate counselors to help guide the way.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and kind-hearted individuals to join our summer team as Camp Counselors. You'll be working directly with small groups of campers, leading activities, supporting their social and emotional growth, and ensuring everyone is safe and having fun.

This is a great opportunity for aspiring educators, childcare professionals, or anyone who loves working with kids in a high-energy, nurturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 16 years or older
Prior experience working with children (camps, classrooms, babysitting, etc.)
Energetic, dependable, and patient
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Write a paragraph stating why you want to work at Whilde Camps, including your strengths and what you can add to the team. Include any relevant experience you have, and overall why you believe you should be selected for the position.

Include a list of the full weeks you will be able to work (list of weeks below). While we understand and plan for counselors to have their own vacations and camp experiences, we require that counselors commit to full weeks and not partial weeks.

Come join one of our Virtually WHILDE students for a crochet event. Sabrina will be teaching crochet to teens at the Falmouth Memorial Library on May 28th from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

We're incredibly proud to share the heartwarming story of one of our amazing Virtually WHILDE students! During the devastating hurricane in Florida, this young man decided to take action. Mason collected donations to support a Florida Humane Society.

His compassion and dedication resulted in a monetary donation, much-needed toys, and puppy pads being delivered to animals in need. Mason's initiative is a true testament to the power of kindness and the positive impact we can all make, no matter where we are.
