The outreach needs volunteers. A handicap individual is in need of getting his handicap porch relocated due to lake eviction. He is paying two lot rents until it can be moved.
He is in Alba on Lake Fork. If you have a truck and trailer and some good handy helpers it would be greatly appreciated.

We are currently collecting donations to subsidize Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) for 17 patients whose trips are not covered by insurance due to policy lapses, lack of rural transit availability, or the absence of personal transportation.

Our objective is to raise $2,300 to facilitate 17 patient medical appointments between September 30, 2026, and January 8, 2027.

To date, we have secured $670 in contributions, consisting of $170 from Rebas, $200 from the Dixon family, $200 from an anonymous business partner, and $100 from an unidentified donor. Consequently, we require an additional $1,800 to fully fund the remaining 10 of our 17 planned medical transportation trips, having successfully facilitated seven to date. I am confident that our community will provide the necessary support to meet this goal, and any assistance you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Should you wish to volunteer your vehicle and time to service these individuals, you are welcome to do so. Please be advised that these clients are located in rural Wood County and may require travel time exceeding 40 minutes each way to reach their medical appointments.

Furthermore, we are seeking $100 to assist a community member in Yantis with an outstanding electricity bill.

Loads of food boxes have been going out this week and last week. If you are in Wood County and are in need of a family box, give us a call. The YCO offers weekly and bi-weekly food boxes. Do not forget our Tiny Free Blessing Food Box on our property. Need something quick, like chips, a snack, or something for dinner? Come see our blessing box.
