We are the Chopper Johnson Foundation (CJF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing funding for education, health, and community assistance. After Chop's unexpected passing on July 18, 2016, a band of friends and family who wanted to continue Chop's benevolent ways created the CJF.

The Chopper Johnson Foundation, at the YHS Academic Awards Night on Monday, was honored to present 6 individual $1,000 scholarships to Liam Villanueva, Sienne Tacke, Julia Reyes, Harrison Krajewski, Sabrina Krajewski, and Nora Krajewski.

Why the one-time change from May to July? Well, July 18 is officially Chopper Johnson Day in Yankton, SD, and 2026 marks the 10-year anniversary.
