A brief moment of eavesdropping…

As I was walking into the Yanceyville post office this morning, I overheard two ladies (one black, one white) having a friendly discussion on how each of them was related to one of the people featured on the Before Us mural across the street.

Details of the conversation…not important. What I found most interesting is that the mural sparked a friendly conversation between two people who seemed happy to share how they were related to someone featured in the mural and then shared how they were connected to other people they jointly knew.

I went inside the building with a big smile on my face and looked to the heavens in gratitude silently saying, “public art did that!” 😀🤗

Big news! Caswell Arts is going mobile!

We are currently in the process of transitioning to a new physical home. While we search for the perfect space to continue our work, our team is officially working remotely.

We want to assure our wonderful supporters, artists, and partners: We aren't going anywhere! This is just a short-term hiccup in our physical location, but our programming, vision, and commitment to the arts in our community remain stronger than ever.

All scheduled events and programs are moving forward as planned. We’re still here, still working, and still dedicated to bringing art to life—just from a few different desks for the moment.

Thank you for your continued support as we find the right next spot for our gallery and offices. Stay tuned for updates!
