Athletes, Take the Break. You’ve Earned It. 🏐☀️
To all of our middle school and high school athletes:
Many of you have been on the courts since the end of your school season, playing club, attending camps, and continuing to train throughout May, June, and July. As we approach the start of another school year and your next season, remember this:
It is okay to take a break. In fact, you need one.
With school seasons beginning around August 25 and others starting a week or two later, these remaining summer days are an opportunity to reset — mentally and physically.
The extra training session may seem worth it. One more workout. One more practice. One more day in the gym.
But ask yourself: What would a few days away give you?
🌿 Go outside and take a walk with your family.
☀️ Enjoy some summer fun.
❤️ Spend time with the people who matter most.
👯 Catch up with your friends.
📖 Read a good book.
🎬 Watch your favorite movie.
😌 Relax. Breathe. Slow down.
Your body needs recovery, and your mind does too.
The court will still be there.
The game will still be there.
Your teammates will still be there.
Give yourself permission to step away for a few days so you can come back refreshed, energized, and ready to compete.
Being a great athlete isn't just about how hard you train. It's also about knowing when your body and mind need rest.
Enjoy these last days of summer. Make memories. Laugh. Recharge. Then come back ready to love the game again.
