Yakima DeMolay

Yakima DeMolay The Yakima Chapter, Order of DeMolay is a non-profit youth leadership organization. While the DeMolay Members do learn a lot they also play a lot.

DeMolay helps young men ages 12 to 21 get practical, hands-on experience developing civic awareness, personal responsibility, non-profit management through fun activities. DeMolay is a non-profit organization that has chapters for young men throughout the world. They use practical, hands-on experience to open doors for young men ages 12 to 21 by developing the civic awareness, personal responsibil

ity, non-profit management and leadership skills so vitally needed in society today. DeMolay is a unique organization in that the youth members actually plan, organize and conduct their own activities with the assistance of adult advisors. DeMolay combines its serious mission with an entertaining approach that builds important bonds of friendship among members in more than 1,000 chapters worldwide. We participate in many events throughout the year. Our activities such as paintball, kickball, dances, water parks, potlucks, over-nighters, etc. combine the many lessons of leadership with fun. Civic awareness is important to DeMolay Chapters. DeMolay International initiated a campaign to participate in and support Relay for Life throughout the many chapters worldwide to help fight cancer. In addition to official campaigns each individual chapter works to help others in their own way. DeMolay alumni include Walt Disney, John Wayne, Walter Cronkite, football Hall-of-Famer Fran Tarkenton, legendary Nebraska football coach Tom Osborne, news anchor David Goodnow and many others. Each has spoken eloquently of the life-changing benefit gained from their involvement in DeMolay.
