Pom Club is back on Wednesday, May 20th.

Eric Patrick (President, Northwest Cherries) and Karley Lange (Director of Domestic Promotions, Northwest Cherries) are joining us to talk cherry market conditions and where the 2026 season is heading. Plenty going on in the industry right now between export pressure, weather variability, and demand shifts. Should be a good conversation.

It's also our annual "cherry guess" meeting, so come prepared to make yours.

Zesta Cucina in Yakima. Social Hour at 5:30pm, dinner and the presentation at 6:15pm. If you grow, pack, or care about Yakima Valley cherries, come by.

We're back on, Pom Club! 🍎

Our April meeting is now Wednesday, April 22nd at Zesta Cucina. Thanks to everyone for being flexible on the reschedule. It means a lot.

This month we've got Dani Gray joining us, WSU Tree Fruit Extension Educator, talking all things codling moth. She'll cover IPM fundamentals, share what's coming out of her research, and update us on the Codling Moth Task Force. If you grow fruit, you know why this one matters.

POM Club — This Wednesday, March 18th

This week's a good one. Ric Valicoff from Roza Irrigation District is bringing us an irrigation update. This year, it matters. It's been a tough water year, but this week's mountain snow is a reminder that the picture is still developing. Come hear where things actually stand from the people who know.

We're also working to confirm a YTID update, plus a quick talk on the Ag Forestry program.

Reminder there is no September meeting for Yakima Pom Club as we are taking an apple harvest sabbatical for the month of September...we'll be back in action for the month of October. Stay tuned for October 15th meeting details. 🍎📅👍

Our officership has decided to skip our regularly scheduled 3rd Wednesday of the month meeting for the month of September.

Consider it a September Sabbatical and good luck wishes for apple 🍎🍏 harvests!

We'll be back at it for a gathering on Wednesday October 15th - more to follow about meeting details as it approaches.

We're taking an informal poll to get a pulse on the interest level of our members here on who would like to attend an extracurricular event:

WSU Cougars vs Toledo Rockets game in Pullman, WA
Sat, Oct 25
21 years of age +
Bus transportation would depart Moxee Park & Ride by 6:30am that morning and return that night

If you are interested please reply to us via email: [email protected]...and inform us if you would want both a ticket to the game + transportation to Pullman,
or if you just need a seat on the bus (you do not require a gameday ticket)
the total # of people you are interested in seats for.
Note: This trip is for Yakima Pom Club members only, and a plus-one. No hop-on's/rando's

All replies will help estimate the size of bus(es) needed for the organization & planning of this trip.
