Join us for the 2026 Yakima Art Festival on Saturday, June 27 from 10 AM until 4 PM at the Rotary Marketplace in Downtown Yakima! Over 30 artists will be there selling hand-made works of art, including Cydney Bacon, Darin Steen, Denny Driver, and Elizabeth Montes de Oca. Admission is free! Come enjoy free art activities for children, original art, and more! There will be food trucks, as well as a beer and wine garden. Don't miss our biggest event of the year!

On Wednesday, June 24 at 10 AM, Marsha Threlkeld and James Hunter, instructors with the Yakima Yoga Collective, will lead yoga Asana at the gallery. This event is open to all skill levels, including beginners. Please bring your own mat and props if you have them, and if you do not there will be a limited number of mats to borrow. This event is free and open to the public!

On June 12 members of the Larson Gallery Guild Board had the opportunity to visit the Yakama Nation Buffalo Program -- a wonderful example of the Yakama Nation's committments to culture, food security, and ecology. We are hoping to find ways that the Yakima Valley arts community can support the Buffalo program. Get in touch if you are an artist who is as enthusiastic about buffalo as we are -- we would love to hear your ideas and see if you like the ideas we have already discussed. Thanks so much to for organizing and to the Yakama Nation Buffalo Program for letting us visit!

El jueves 18 de junio, de 10:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m., en la Galería Larson, les invitamos a un taller con j alexander. James enseñará como hacer un mapa de sueños. Este taller forma parte de nuestra serie gratuita "mañanas para jubilados", abierta a personas mayores de 65 años. No es necesario reservar, pero el espacio y los materiales son limitados. Se ofrecerá café y donas.

Thursday, June 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Larson Gallery, we invite you to a workshop with j alexander. Come join James as he leads the group in making vision boards. This is part of our free "Senior Mornings" series, open to those 65 and older. No reservation is required, but space and materials are limited. Coffee and donuts will be provided.

We will be offering Senior Mornings on the third Thursday of each month for the next year. Stay tuned to our social media for more information! This is project is funded in part by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Tomorrow! Join us to celebrate the launch of the 2026 collaboration between the Larson Gallery and Yakima Valley Vintners, with a label featuring the art of Aileen Monahan! Aileen won the 2026 label contest with her painting "Dinner Party." The launch party coincides with the opening of our Members' Exhibition, Saturday, June 13, 3-5 PM. We hope to see you there!
