In place of a May event, the Yakima Enological Society Board has chosen to support and promote the Yakima Valley College “Grape to Glass Gala” — a meaningful event that directly benefits the future of Washington wine.

Since 2007, the Vineyard & Winery Technology Program at Yakima Valley College has helped prepare the next generation of viticulturists and winemakers, awarding nearly 100 scholarships that support student success.

This gala is the program’s only annual fundraiser, with all proceeds going directly to students. We encourage YES members to come together, form a group, and show our support for this incredible program and the individuals shaping the future of our industry.

Enjoy an evening featuring beer, cider, and wine, a delicious dinner prepared by Chef Roger of Bon Vinos, live music, and an exciting auction.

We hope you’ll join the YES Board in supporting this special event — and we look forward to seeing you there!

Tickets to be purchased on their website, yvcc.edu/gala ($125 per person)

A wonderful evening at our Provisions–Barnard Griffin Tasting 🍷

We were honored to host Rob Barnard and Deborah Griffin as they shared stories from the Washington wine industry. Paired with delicious bites by Chef Lindsay Park, it was a night to remember.

Dusty Bottle Tasting | A Rare Vintage Experience 🍷 🍇

Step back in time with our Dusty Bottle Tasting, an extraordinary opportunity to explore carefully cellared older vintages as late as the early 80’s—wines rarely opened and even more rarely shared. This once-in-a-lifetime experience showcases mature bottles that tell the story of time, patience, and craftsmanship, offering flavors and aromas that only decades of aging can create.

Kay Simon, renowned Washington winemaker will be in attendance to talk about winemaking methods and tactics from the 1980’s and 1990’s. Attendees will be led through a discussion on the evolution of older vintages, how age transforms structure and character, and why these wines are increasingly scarce and highly coveted. Each pour represents a moment in history—bottles rescued from the depths of the cellar and opened exclusively for this event.

Availability is extremely limited. This is a truly exclusive tasting designed for collectors, enthusiasts, and those who appreciate the rare privilege of experiencing wines that can never be replaced.
