For 92 years, the Junior League of Yakima has been turning the Junior League Mission into action right here in Yakima.

From our Girls Initiative: Empowering Girls, Inspiring Leaders, to our community outreach and Done in a Day projects, our members are showing what happens when women come together and say, “We can do something about this.”

That’s what Mary Harriman believed in 125 years ago. And it’s still happening today.

The Junior League of Yakima is proud to recognize our Members of the Junior League of Nairobi, Kenya, whose dedication to service and community impact reflects the spirit of this important day.

POV: You came for the meeting, but stayed for the friendships, fun, and purpose! 💗✨

Our October GMM was giving ALL the good vibes! 💕

From pink glitter hair extensions in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to hearing from Wellness House and one of our wonderful Sustainers, Kim Loranz about how to keep everyone in league engaged, it was an evening filled with connection, inspiration, and women making a difference.

Because when women come together, incredible things happen. And yes, we have a little fun along the way! 🥂

More than meetings. More than membership. It’s a community of women who show up for each other and for Yakima. 💗

Okay, this is a birthday worth celebrating 🎉

November 17 would be Mary Harriman’s 145th birthday. And the Movement she started? It’s officially 125 years strong.

What started with one young woman and a vision for making her community better became The Junior League—a Movement that has brought generations of women together to lead, serve, and create change.
