We would like to thank the Vet Center for helping us provide 30 Thanksgiving dinners to families this year. Wray's Thirftway for packing it up and holding the food for us. We would like to thank Franz bakery for their donations of bread. We love doing this event. However, we are struggling with membership for both DAV and DAVA that this is becoming harder each to keep doing. We need your help to keep helping our community. Veterans and their dependents can go to DAV.org and join. You will pay for a life membership. Sign up.

Would you add this as a post? With appreciation, we thank Disabled American Veterans Chapter 8 for supporting Yakima QOV’s efforts in Yakima County. The Quilts of Valor Foundation has awarded over 403,000 Quilts of Valor since 2021. Go to www.qovf.org for more info. I’m very proud of each member’s dedication to our service members and veterans and your support of our group. Yakima QOV has awarded over 300 Quilts of Valor in your and my community since July 2021. Last year, we increased our awards by 55 QOV, a significant growth made possible by an increase in membership and community support, totaling 148 veterans comforted with Quilts of Valor in 2024! We look forward to 2025, comforting many more in our communities, and your support. Shirleen Wilhelm, GL, and Members of Yakima QOV.

The Mission of the Quilts of Valor® Foundation is to cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. Share the passion of our Mission.
