💙 Celebrating Our Site Coordinators! 💙

Last week was Site Coordinator Appreciation Week, and we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible people who show up every day for students across Central Washington! 🌟

Our Site Coordinators are at the heart of the Communities In Schools model. They build meaningful relationships, connect students and families to resources, collaborate with school staff, and remind students that they are seen, supported, and valued. 💙

From early mornings to busy school days, they continue to show up, step up, and stand alongside students making a difference one relationship at a time.

To our amazing Site Coordinators: THANK YOU! Your dedication, compassion, and commitment to students are what make CIS of Central Washington so special. We appreciate everything you do! 👏🎉

A lot has changed since Communities In Schools came to Washington state in 1991. But one thing has not: students still need caring adults, meaningful relationships, and communities that believe in them. 💙

As students head back to school, we’re proud to join the Communities In Schools of Washington state office in celebrating 35 years of showing up for students across Washington! 🎉

Here at Communities In Schools of Central WA, we know that support can look like many things—from meeting basic needs and connecting students to resources, to encouragement from a trusted adult and creating a plan to help students stay engaged in school.

As we begin another school year, we’re looking back with gratitude, celebrating the impact of 35 years, and looking ahead with purpose. Most importantly, we’re excited to WELCOME BACK our incredible CIS Central WA team! 🥳📚 We’re so grateful for the heart, dedication, and commitment you bring to our students and schools every day.

Here’s to another year of showing up, building connections, and being All In for kids! 💙

Communities In Schools of Central Washington is excited to launch our Virtual School Supply Drive! Many students in our communities face financial barriers that make purchasing school supplies difficult. Together, we can help ensure every child has the tools they need to succeed.

Your donation—big or small—helps provide essential school supplies like notebooks, pencils, folders, art supplies, and other classroom essentials for local students.

Every gift makes a difference and helps remove barriers to learning so students can walk into the classroom confident and ready to thrive.

Communities In Schools of Central Washington would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Yakima Valley Partners for Education for their incredible support through $14,800 in College & Career Readiness funding.

Thanks to YVPE's investment, we were able to impact 3,213 students across the Yakima Valley with meaningful college and career exploration opportunities. Their support allowed us to take students on in-person college visits, introduce them to a variety of post-secondary pathways, and create engaging activities that encouraged them to think about their future goals and aspirations.

Through hands-on lessons and career-focused experiences, students learned about the opportunities available through colleges, universities, technical schools, and skilled trades. These experiences helped open their minds to new possibilities and inspired them to begin exploring the careers they may want to pursue as they grow older.
