How we started

Started as an online retailer for Amazon.com in March 2013. We realized the need in our community to have affordable new children’s books available to parents, teacher and school administrators. So, in June 2016 we started buying books not for Amazon sales, but for Yakima. We opened up our garage and created a group page called “$1, $2 and $3 brand new books” Pretty generic, but it got the point across. As of Aug 2018, we are 4,500 strong. We decided to partner with Chanda’s Ink and borrow some space from their building. July 2018, “Bidzbooks”, a non-profit organization was officially formed. We had our first event in August 2018 and it was a success. We continue to serve Yakima county and providing brand new children’s books to our community.
