As most of you know, the mandate issued by the state of Washington forces healthcare workers to receive a vacine in order to continue to work. There is no other option to work with out it, and Advanced Life Systems is currently not allowing accommodations ( even with accepted exemptions) for its employees who have worked threw the pandemic for the last 2 years. The union believes in freedom of choice and knows what strain any loss of employees could mean to the already low staffed EMS system. This letter was written to Governor Inslee and his office and how his mandate will affect Yakima County residents and EMS system. We still have not received a response and look forward to hearing back.
