It will be held at the Yadkin County Public Library from 9:00am-12:00pm, Saturday, June 6th! This event is free!
To participate, you must register each child attending the event. If you have multiple children attending, you will need to fill out the registration for each child in attendance. Caregivers will need to be present during the event, and their participation is needed for the duration of your child's session.
BLOCK Fest® is a research-based exhibit that raises awareness of early learning, especially in math & science, by offering a hands-on block-play experience for families and young children.
Play with five block stations while learning the educational value of block play.
We will be hosting 2 sessions, one from 9:15am-10:15am and another from 10:30am-11:30am.
Additionally, we will have door prizes that those in attendance will be eligible to win!
We look forward to seeing you at BLOCK Fest®!
The BLOCK Fest® curriculum was purchased through a grant received from the Shallow Ford Foundation.

We are hiring! Smart Start of Yadkin County is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that seeks a strategic, mission-driven Executive Director to lead the organization’s efforts to improve outcomes for young children and families. The Executive Director will provide professional leadership, oversee program development and delivery, manage financial and grant responsibilities, supervise staff, and work closely with the Board of Directors to advance Smart Start’s mission while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

There is a fun PBS Kids Rootle event happening tomorrow from 9-12 at the Yadkin County Public Library. We hope you can join us as we partner to celebrate every child during Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month! Tomorrow will be a fun morning, filled with inclusive activities for all children and families! There will also be snacks, crafts, and a calm-down, quiet space for those who need it. At 11am there will be a special viewing of the PBS KIDS show, Carl the Collector! Our PBS Rootle Ambassador will also have giveaway items while supplies last! We hope to see you there!
