If you are interested in learning more about ORCA, our online learning center partner, check out these awesome field trip opportunities and information sessions.

Oregon Charter Academy hosts fun and educational field trips throughout the school year! And field trips are not just students - the whole family can join!

For regional events, families can attend a field trip in their region! These tend to be bigger events, like visiting a science museum, going to the zoo or aquarium, or touring local landmarks. Staff in the region also attend these events, so students can see their teachers in person!

Staff also plan more focused field trips throughout the year! These can be activities for smaller groups, like painting pottery, club or student group meetings/competitions, or in-person labs. We also host Hangouts at our Wilsonville office to foster grade-level community throughout the year!

Field trips at ORCA provide safe opportunities for students to hang out with their peers, connect with their teachers, and enrich their learning! Learn more at www.oregoncharter.org/socialization

Yachats Summer Camp 2026 is officially over and we have some people to thank!
Huge thanks to Steve who donated the funds for our camp T-shirts this year in honor of his sweet mother, Esther. Steve (and Esther’s) donation made it possible for every camper, staff member, and camp volunteer to have a shirt. 👕
The City of Yachats made it possible for our campers to have private Trolley rides to locations of their choice this week. Campers visited Southworth Park, Cape Perpetua, and the Amanda Trail. 🚋
The Yachats Library invited us to join in their Summer Reading program. On weekly visits, campers explored the beautiful library, browsed bookshelves, planted seeds, and did arts and crafts. 📚
Our partnership with Lincoln County School District continued this summer with their Summer Learning Program. We were fortunate to have Crestview Heights teachers Ms. Keck and Mrs. Carmody join us to provide literacy instruction daily. 📝
Finally, our camp staff went above and beyond every day. Camp takes hours of preparation, implementation, lots of creativity and a ton of flexibility. The team at YYFAP genuinely cares about our area youth and it shows in all they do. 🩵
What a phenomenal summer it has been. Rest up and enjoy August. We will see everyone in September! ☀️

Tomorrow is our last Sno-cone Thursday of the summer. And don’t forget your blue T-shirts, campers! 🩵🙌🏼☀️

Here is a look back at Session Three of Yachats Summer Camp. Tomorrow begins Session Four and our final week of 2026. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this season one to remember! ☀️🩵

Summer Camp is currently in session and we are spending a cozy day indoors due to thunder and lightening in our area. If we lose power, families will be notified to pick up their children. Due to licensing and safety guidelines, we cannot operate safely without power and running water. Enjoy the rain! ⛈🌧☔
