Happy Back-to-School Season! 🍎📚

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to a new school year! Whether your children are heading to the classroom or learning at home, we’re praying this year is filled with wisdom, joy, growth, and God’s blessings.

We’ve been a little quieter than usual on social media, but we’ve been busy behind the scenes. Sometimes God calls us to be still while He continues working in ways we can’t yet see. We’re trusting His timing and look forward to sharing more updates with you in the coming weeks.

Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support of Salt & Light Wythe Co. We are so grateful for this community and for each of you who continues to believe in our mission. We truly can’t wait to see what this next season holds.

The Wythe-Bland Foundation is proud to support Salt & Light and its Splash of Joy project, which will create a universally accessible splash pad where children of all abilities can play, learn, and grow together.

Designed with accessibility at its core, this inclusive water play space will provide a safe, welcoming environment for children with physical and sensory disabilities while creating a fun destination for all families. By removing barriers to outdoor recreation, the splash pad will promote physical activity, social connection, and a true sense of belonging.

This project will strengthen community wellness by creating a space where families can gather, children can build friendships, and everyone has the opportunity to enjoy inclusive outdoor recreation. Together, we're helping create a healthier, more connected community where every child can experience the joy of play. 💦

We’ve been a little quiet on social media lately… but don’t mistake quiet for idle. 🤍

Summer has us chasing kids, making memories, and juggling all the things that come with being moms—but behind the scenes, we’ve been working hard for our community.

Just last week, Salt & Light Wythe Co. submitted over $500,000 in grant requests to help fund the future splash pad and lessen the financial burden on our local taxpayers. Every application is another opportunity to move this dream one step closer to becoming a reality.

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, committed local funding, and grant support, we’ve already secured more than $1.6 million toward this project. That progress belongs to all of us.

We’re incredibly thankful for every donation, every prayer, every encouraging message, every volunteer, and every person who believes in what we’re building together. While you may not see us posting every day, know that we’re working faithfully behind the scenes to create something that will serve Wythe County families for generations.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for continuing to cheer us on. We can’t wait to share more updates as we keep moving this dream forward—one step at a time. 💙

Salt & Light Wythe Co. is honored to be helping lead efforts for the future splash pad coming to Wytheville. Behind the scenes, we’re continuing to work through grants, partnerships, planning, and funding opportunities to help bring this community project to life.

Momentum is building, progress is happening every day, and it’s exciting to watch the vision continue coming together step by step.
