Such a sweet time gathering with our Amiina university scholarship students before sending them back to their campuses. We shared a meal, listened, encouraged, prayed—and celebrated just how far God has brought them.

We’ve had the privilege of watching these young people grow, struggle, dream, and persevere. For most of them, even completing a primary or secondary education once seemed out of reach. University wasn’t even something they imagined for themselves. And yet, here they are—university students. The journey hasn’t been easy, but God has given them the grace and grit to keep going.

Discipleship is a long calling. At Amiina, our relationship doesn’t end when financial support is no longer needed. These young people are lifelong family, and we are committed to walking with them through all of life’s highs and lows.

That’s what it means to be part of the family of God—we walk together, pray together, and keep pointing one another toward Jesus.

So proud of these young adults and excited for all that God has ahead for them. Would you stand in pray with them too?

Amiina Ministries is growing.

As we add new staff and expand into new communities, our team took three intentional days to pause, pray, build together, and prepare for what God is doing next.

Through orientation, team building, vision casting, teaching from the Word, and planning for implementation, our hearts were ministered to, our minds were stretched, and our vision was strengthened.

We were grateful to sit under the leadership of our own, Rev. Godfrey and Erinah Kyome and our keynote speaker and facilitator, Rev. David Kaggwa of World Vision Uganda.

One thing that we value is that Amiina is Ugandan-led. We believe in investing in our team—the leaders who carry and implement the vision in their own communities every day.

We leave these days grateful for the leadership God has given Amiina and expectant for what He is building next.

Presence matters.

Less than a year ago, Amiina was invited by the local church to partner together to reach a new community in need of hope.

Our first community meeting was held inside a small, worn-down school building. As we listened to the stories being shared, everything around us reflected the same reality. The building had been neglected for years, and so had the community.

Children were carrying burdens they were never meant to carry. Many spent their days working in the gardens because education wasn’t seen as something worth investing in. School enrollment was low. Hope felt even lower.

If we’re honest, we left that meeting asking the Lord, “Are You really calling us here? Where do we even begin?”

But we know Jesus loves to meet people in the dry and weary places.

At Amiina, we don’t come with all the answers. We come with presence. We walk alongside the local church—listening, learning, encouraging, and empowering communities to rediscover their God-given purpose. Because lasting transformation doesn’t happen to a community...it happens through a community.

This week, less than a year later, that same little school was filled with parents, teachers, church leaders, and Amiina staff for a PTA meeting.

The room felt different.

There was vision.
There was ownership.
There was hope.

Parents are beginning to champion education. Student enrollment continues to grow. The church is becoming empowered. The school is being equipped. Families are growing stronger.

There is still a long road ahead, but hope is contagious.

This is the slow, beautiful work of the Kingdom—seeing Jesus bring life where there once was despair.

Thank you for praying, giving, and walking with Amiina. This is the eternal work you are part of as God’s Kingdom continues to take ground, one community at a time. Hope is rising.

“The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom.” Isaiah 35:1

Transformation is multiplying.

We don’t advertise these Village Savings & Loan Associations— but people are seeing lives changing and keep inviting us into their communities.

Today, families are keeping children in school, women are growing businesses, farmers are increasing harvests, families are buying land, and members are finding hope during times of crisis.

Most importantly, hearts are being transformed. Trust is being restored, people are returning to church, new believers are coming to Christ, and communities are growing stronger together.

One savings group. Countless changed lives.

God is on the move, and we can see it in the carpentry workshop.

It has been amazing to witness the joy in these young men as they work together, learn new skills, and build these chairs with their own hands. Step by step — measuring, cutting, sanding, assembling, and varnishing — they are creating beautiful pieces of furniture they can be proud of.

But something even greater is being built along the way: confidence, teamwork, purpose, and hope.

This is the beauty of seeing God at work in the lives of these young men.

Take one minute to listen to Douglas share how God has used Amiina Ministries to rewrite his story.

Douglas came into our program as a young boy, and now he is in his final year of secondary school with his eyes set on university. Ten years ago, this dream seemed impossible. But God.

This is what it looks like when supporters, staff, teachers, community members, and churches walk alongside one another for the long haul. God uses a global village to make an invisible God visible by displaying the love of Christ through His people.

We are so proud of Douglas—for persevering, embracing every opportunity, becoming a leader among his peers, a hard worker, and an ambassador for Christ. The best is yet to come.

A huge shout out to our piggery farm leads. This work is not glamorous - it's messy, demanding and around the clock - but these guys make it happen every day.

The piggery project is a model farm for Amiina, helping create income for the ministry while also training others in raising pigs and sustainable farming.

Amiina is built by so many people serving in different roles, and every role matters. Each one reflects Jesus and His Kingdom in unique ways.

So thankful for these guys and the faithful work they do behind the scenes every day.

Collaboration at its best.

Three organizations came together to host a powerful week of training in Trauma-Informed Care. Huge thanks to and for partnering with us to serve pastors, teachers, and organizations seeking to better understand and respond to trauma.

It was a full and beautiful week—diving deep into what it means to be fearfully and wonderfully made, created as image bearers of God, yet living in a broken world where hurt is real and can change a person.

We explored how trauma impacts a person’s life, while also being reminded of the hope we have in Christ Jesus—our Healer and Redeemer.

A transformational week, united in purpose, learning and working together for the glory of Christ.
