Here's the next pin to continue our fundraising efforts for ACE's Preservation Fund! The world's first suspended roller coaster, the Bat debuted at Kings Island on April 26, 1981. Created by Arrow Dynamics, the ride stood 100 feet tall with 2,400 feet of track. While the Bat was very popular, its prototype nature led to its closure and removal in 1983.

We keep talking about Nelis' Dutch Village lately, but with the passing of Dolly Parton this week we thought it a fitting tribute to share this little bit of Dollywood that has found a new home in our region.

Not only is the park's 1940 Eli Bridge #5 ferris wheel a relocation from the historic Kiddieland in Melrose Park, Illinois, but they installed the hydraulic drive unit from Dollywood's defunct Eli Bridge wheel. What an awesome piece of history and preservation right here in the Eastern Great Lakes!

Our friends at Nelis' Dutch Village have been hard at work on their historic coaster project, and have managed to get the track temporarily setup to get a better look at it. Very exciting to see this really unique piece of roller coaster history start coming together, and a great example of the preservation work being done in our region!

The Eastern Great Lakes regional rep team is growing!

Please join us in welcoming two new Assistant Reps to our team, Frank Arroyo and Alex Doak. Both have been super helpful as volunteers, and we're excited for them to share their skills and passions to support the region even more.

Next time you see them, be sure to thank them for everything they do for ACE.💙
