The Wyoming Fire Protection District is made up of 120 square miles that services Valley Township and parts of Toulon, Penn, and Essex Townships in Stark County Illinois. Those townships include the towns of Wyoming, Speer, Modena, Duncan, and Stark. We also cover the western portion of Marshall County that includes a stretch of State Route 40 and the towns of Lawn Ridge and La Prairie as well as

Tanners Orchard. We currently have two stations, one in Wyoming that houses 3 Engines, 1 Rescue/Brush, 1 Tender, and 1 Humvee Brush Truck. Our second station is located in Speer and houses 1 Engine and 1 Rescue/Brush. Current Officers:

INFORMATION (6-2-26)

The road in front of the Wyoming Fire Station (E. Williams / N. Main - E. Williams / N. Galena) will be shut down starting around 5:30 tonight until about 9:00 tonight due to fire hose testing. Please be cautious of fire apparatus and fire personnel around this area.

On 5/18/26 we had our yearly Officer elections and our monthly meeting. The Officer elections are for electing Captains and the Safety Officer, the Chief and Deputy Chief are selected by the Board of Trustees.

2026-2027 Officers are as follows:

We also have positions that are not fireground command roles but play a big part in the behind the scene operations of things.
