I just want to remind everyone of the fantastic program we're having tonight. Local Minnesota Author Cary. J. Griffith, author of multiple award-winning books including Gunflint Burning, will be at the Wyoming Library tonight at 6pm.
Cary has visited many of our other branches and he has received nothing by rave reviews by attendees, who have described him as an engaging and knowledgeable speaker. Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome! Let's get a great turnout for Mr. Griffith!

May 8th starts at 3, but having some people here around 2 to help set up, then some between 3 - 5pm, and we'll probably start picking up around 4:30.

Good afternoon Friends!

I wanted to reach out and see if anyone would like to volunteer next week for our birthday week! Particularly May 8, when we will be making the stepping stones. We will need extra hands to help assist patrons making the stones, whether it's encouragement, tips, or moving the molds to a drying spot.

The second thing I really need help with: There is an industrial business on Lake Dr. south of Forest Lake that has a stack of wood pallets by the side of the road. I do not have a car that can fit them. If anyone has a truck or large SUV that could grab some pallets and drop them off at the library I would be eternally grateful! We could use at least 5

Please help If you can.

We are once again asking for your donations! There are only 4 days left to donate to the Friends of the Giese Memorial Library's team in the Rotary Club Winter Plunge! Between the cash and online donations, we are only $20 away from our $400 goal! As an added bonus, if we reach $400, our librarian, Francie, will be jumping in a costume!
Donations are used for the programs and events, so donate now!

We may not want you to get our books wet, but that doesn't mean we're not willing to take a plunge!

As a reminder, all ECRL branches are closed today (11/11/25) in recognition of Veterans Day. Regular library services will resume tomorrow.

🔹SERVICE UPDATE: All East Central Regional Library locations are closed today, Thursday, September 25 for our annual staff training day.

Regular library hours will resume on Friday, September 26.

The Boy Scout (now Eagle Scout!) did it!
With a team of volunteers and generous donations for materials, he made a lovely walking path and re-made the benches! Stop by and check it out!

Good morning friends:

We need your help! As most of you know a Boy Scout has taken on the large rain garden as his Eagle Scout project, but he is on a time crunch. Thursday and Friday from 4pm - Dusk he and volunteer Boy Scouts will be hacking a path through the jungle and laying down the materials for a gravel path. It will be wet, but he has to have it done by Sunday and any help would be appreciated to support his effort. The Chisago County Master Gardeners have also been called on for support. Thank you everyone for your ongoing involvement and support!
