Packin' Heat (Packing the Gift of Heat for the Homeless)

Packin' Heat (Packing the Gift of Heat for the Homeless) Long underwear and backpacks for the homeless. Packin Heat started in 2006. This volunteer effort is completely funded by charitable donations.

It is a collaborative effort between various area organizations with the common goal of providing area homeless people access to items that promote warmth and prevent exposure related health concerns. To accomplish this, Packin Heat annually gives away backpacks containing long johns (thermal underwear), socks, hats and mittens among other things.
