About time for a parade.... what do you all think?
Earlier today, students at Huff Consolidated Elementary and Middle School in Wyoming County won the $100,000 national prize in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow. Huge congratulations to them and their teacher: Brittany Miller-Baker !
Take a few minutes to watch their pitch. They did so, so well.

These kids built a low-cost water filtration system for their community -- where people are dealing with rashes, can't clean up, and are spending over $1,000 a year on bottled water. They are going to save a lot of lives.
Mountain Water Watch got to know these students and support their research. We spent some time working with students and their fantastic teacher, showed them abandoned mine maps, how to read them, shared what we've learned about whats happening in our streams.
Young people are stepping up to protect our communities. It's about time we rise up with them.
Go watch them , guys. SERIOUSLY !!
