Today we honor the founder of Alex's Lemonade Stand. Alex Scott would be 28 today- and when she was only 4 years old, she started her lemonade stand that would go on to find cures for childhood cancer.

This week's featured hero is Charlie Walsh!
Charlie has been through a lot in his 19 years. He's been diagnosed with two different types of pediatric cancer, lost vision in his left eye, spent more days and nights in the hospital than he can count - and Charlie isn't finished fighting. Today, he is being monitored for tumor reoccurrence every three months since doctors discovered a benign tumor on Charlie's brain, thought to be from all the radiation he received as toddler fighting AT/RT. The good news is that Charlie has been stable, and is now attending the University of Iowa and is part of the UI Reach program!
