What an amazing first two days of Summer Camp at the Odell McCallum Community Center! Our campers have enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, games, physical activities, and making new friends. Seeing all the smiles, laughter, and excitement has made these first two days a huge success!

A big thank you to our volunteers, community mentors, staff, and everyone who has helped make camp such a fun and positive experience for our kids. We can’t wait to finish the week strong and make even more memories during our last two days. The fun isn’t over yet!

A huge thank you to Mayor Jennifer Hobbs, Fire Chief Ward, Police Chief Dennis, Mr. Long with Parks & Recreation, and Mr. Arens for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit our summer program today! Our kids enjoyed hearing from each of these community leaders, learning about the important roles they play in making our community a great place to live, and even getting to play a few games with them. It was a wonderful opportunity for our youth to interact with positive role models and see firsthand how people serve and support our community every day. Thank you all for investing in our children and helping make this summer program a memorable experience. We appreciate your partnership and dedication to the youth of Wynne!

What a great week at the Odell McCallum Community Center Summer Program! We want to give a special thank you to the Cross County Library staff for spending time with our kids, reading two wonderful books, and bringing fun games and musical instruments for everyone to enjoy. The kids had an amazing time learning, playing, and exploring.

We would also like to thank DeAndra Warren and his grandson for visiting our program. They brought snacks for the kids and spent time building and playing with Legos, creating smiles and memories that our children will not soon forget.

Thank you to everyone who helps make our summer program fun, educational, and memorable for our youth. Community support like this means so much to us and the families we serve. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing all of our kids back on Monday for another exciting week of summer fun!

On Monday, we welcomed 42 amazing kids to the McCallum Center Summer Program. Today, that number jumped to 67 incredible kids! We are excited to see our program growing and even more excited to see these young people showing up, participating, and having fun. Today was filled with learning, creativity, and laughter:
📚 Story time with Mrs. Jones
🎲 Board games with Mr. Bailey & Ms. Harris
🎨 Art activities with Mrs. Hale

A special shout-out goes to our outstanding high school volunteers who stepped up in every way possible. Their energy, leadership, and willingness to help made a huge difference throughout the day.
And of course, after all the structured activities, it was time for everyone's favorite part free play, which can only be described as pure controlled chaos!🤣
Thank you to our families, volunteers, and staff for helping make the McCallum Center Summer Program such a success. We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

We love seeing our community come together to support a great cause! The Odell McCallum Community Center was honored to partner with Union Valley Missionary Baptist Church as they hosted their Disney Youth Trip Fundraiser. We were happy to provide the use of our fish fryer to help make their catfish sale a success.

Community partnerships like this are what make Cross County special. When organizations work together, we can accomplish more, serve more people, and help create opportunities for our youth.

A huge thank you to the Union Valley Church family for allowing us to be a small part of this fundraiser, and to everyone who purchased plates and supported these young people as they work toward making lifelong memories.

Supporting our youth is always a worthwhile investment. We wish them a safe, fun, and unforgettable trip!!
