The pain in your legs within days, but the glory of your finish will last forever." The 16th Annual Midsouth Championship Marathon and Half Marathon is the only one of its kind! The start will take participants up Hamilton Avenue which is listed on the Arkansas Historic Register. It continues along Hwy 64B until intersecting Hwy 64 at approximately the 5 mile mark! it what the locals call, "Bay Road!" Hwy 163 is designated as part of the Arkansas Heritage Civil War Trail and Crowley's Ridge Scenic Byway. This is a USATF certified marathon, out and back course. Aid stations are placed approximately every mile, and port potties will be located every couple of miles or so! Each aid station will be supplied with Vaseline, Gatorade, Fruit, Salt, and various Snickety Snacks! Shirts, goody bags, and finisher’s medals will be given to all participants! This is a Gatorade Endurance and Arkansas Grand Prix State event as well as a Boston Qualifier!

After much deliberation, many prayers and some tears, we have decided not to hold the 2026 Mid-South Races for Hope. Participation has declined steadily since COVID and last year we had as many volunteers as runners. Presently we only have 8 runners registered for this year’s event. Refunds are being issued and will take a few days to be processed. If you have not received yours in a timely manner, please contact me at [email protected]. Thank you so much for your support through the 26 runnings of this historic and iconic race. Please be watching for announcements on the 2027 race.
