Headed to Marshall, Texas. Pray for pastor James Cotton and The Heights Church as they work through the process of bringing Food for the Cities to Marshall, Texas. Pray for the people that they would be fed with both food and Gods word!!

I heard a song today called "Proof of your love" by For King and Country. This line hit me hard!

If I give
To a needy soul but don't have love then who is poor?
It seems all the poverty is found in me

Then I was reminded of 1 John and how many times my brother Denton preached this word to me!!

But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:17, 18 ESV)

Praise God, his word and the men he uses to mentor and shape my heart to what he wants it to be!!
